Re: Ich auch nicht
-->Hi weissgarnix,
>Was war an FAS157 jetzt noch mal gleich so special, als dass man diesen"Level3" jetzt fortwährend für doomsday-Szenarien heranziehen müßte?
Die Definition und der Termin z.B.:
o Level 3 inputs are unobservable [klingt irgendwie als wären da Sehgeschwächte zu Gange] inputs for the asset or liability.
o Unobservable inputs shall be used to measure fair value to the extent that observable inputs are not available, thereby allowing for situations in which there is little, if any, [little oder any? Geht nur eine einzige IBM-Aktie um - ist das littler oder any?] market activity for the asset or liability at the measurement date.
o However, the fair value measurement objective remains the same, that is, an exit price from the perspective of a market participant [na, da kann man so ziemlich alles nehmen. Meine exit prices liegen sämtlich höher als sie gerade taxiert werden] that holds the asset or owes the liability.
o Therefore, unobservable inputs shall reflect the reporting entity’s own assumptions about the assumptions ["own" assumptions?] that market participants would use ["would use"? Wer bestimmt denn das"would use"?] in pricing the asset or liability (including assumptions about risk).
o Unobservable inputs shall be developed based on the best information available in the circumstances, which might include the reporting entity’s own data. ["own" data - aha; und wer kontrolliert das"own data"?]
o In developing unobservable inputs, the reporting entity need not [dann können sich alle in die Ferien verabschieden?] undertake all possible efforts to obtain information about market participant assumptions.
o However, the reporting entity shall not ignore information about market participant assumptions that is reasonably available without undue cost and effort. ["Undue"? 10 USD, 100? 1 Mio?] Therefore, the reporting entity’s own data used to develop unobservable inputs [was es nicht alles gibt!"Gestrichen Brief" hat sich also aus dem Geschehen verabschiedet?] shall be adjusted if information is reasonably available without undue cost and effort that indicates that market participants would use different assumptions.
Effective Date and Transition
FAS 157 is effective for financial statements issued for fiscal years beginning after Nov. 15, 2007 and interim periods within those fiscal years.
Hand in Hand + Gruß!
