kleine Baerenfalle?
Wieviel mehr Baerenfallen?
Wenn man bedenkt wie sehr das Oligopol den Markt kontroliert, sollte man
noch weitere verletzte Baeren erwarten?
Bulldog's $200mm Foxhound Fund Lost"Most" of its Value This Week
(HedgeNews.com) - by Alex Shogren - April 7, 2000
Bulldog Capital Management LP, the $800 million hedge fund group that runs Dancing Bear, Foxhound and Bulldog, reported that its Foxhound Fund, LP lost"most" of its value this week.
"This was our high-octane fund, and navigating in the recent market turbulence was extremely difficult," said Ronald Pollack, Chairman and Chief Investment Officer of Bulldog.
The fund is still in operation, although investors who spoke to HedgeNews.Com reported that as much as 80% of the capital is gone. Dancing Bear and Bulldog did not suffer similar losses although they are both down about 9% for the year according to Bloomberg. Bulldog's Greyhound Fund, a crossover between a hedge fund and a venture fund, did not seem to be effected either.
A number of investors in Foxhound reported that the fund was"leveraged to the hilt" and must have had numerous and extensive magin calls during the recent market turbulance, especially last Tuesday when the NASDAQ tanked over 500 points before bouncing.
