Gold as commodity - Russland hat wie's scheint eine andere Meinung...
London (Interfax)--13Jun2001
Russia's state repository Gokhran plans to buy 40mt of gold for the state reserve this year, 15mt or 60% more than in 2000, a source at Gokhran told Interfax. He said Gokhran has signed contracts to buy gold from miners at the London fixing price minus 1%.
Gokhran's chief of settlements and price setting, Valery Goncharev, said earlier that Gokhran plans to spend twice as much this year on purchases of precious metals than it did in 2000. He also said that Gokhran does not provide advances for gold mining, and buys gold directly from miners.
Gokhran estimates that Russia will mine about 147mt of gold this year, increasing output as new mines are opened and existing ones are expanded.
Das sollte doch dem Goldpreis ein wenig Auftrieb geben...(wenn's denn wahr ist).
Gruss
