U.S. mortgage rates rise 1/4 pct Wed - BestRates

NEW YORK, Aug 13 (Reuters) - The average rate on a 30-year U.S. mortgage with no upfront
points rose 1/4 of a percentage point on Wednesday to 7 percent, according to BestRates, Inc.

The 30-year mortgage rate with one upfront point on Wednesday rose 1/4 of a percentage point
to 6-3/4 percent.

The 30-year mortgage rate with two upfront points rose 1/4 of a percentage point to 6-1/2
percent.
