ICG, which specializes in investing in Internet companies, also reported a third-quarter loss of $263.9 million, or 94 cents per share, compared to a loss of $15.3 million, or 7 cents per share, in the year-ago quarter. First Call, which gathers financial data, did not provide a projection from analysts on Internet Capital Group's third-quarter results.

ICG (ICGE: news, msgs) stock closed down $2.06 to $16.25 Wednesday, well off its 52-week high of $212. ICG and its once highflying peers have suffered in recent months as investors soured on Net companies and their lack of profits.
