	Ist meines Wissens nach zwar korrekt, aber immer beachten: teure Scheine wirken sich natürlich prozentual stärker aus als billige. Dirk <center> <HR> </center>

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is a price-weighted index

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is a price-weighted index, which means the stocks that compose the Dow are accorded relative importance based on their prices. Consequently, higher-priced stocks have a greater percentage impact on the index than lower-priced stocks. Hi Erwin,

soll das heißen bei steigenden Kursen wächst die Gewichtung der gestiegenen Aktien und bei fallenden Kursen werden diese automatisch geringer gewichtet???!!! So eine Art dynamische Gewichtung? Dar wäre ja Beschi.. erster Güte. Kann der Index dann überhaupt fallen?

Das ist allerdings Beschiss. Fällt eine Aktie von 50 auf 45 (10 %), zählt das halb so viel wie eine Aktie, die von 100 auf 90 (auch 10 %) fällt.
Der Dow fällt erst richtig, wenn"die letzten" fallen, z. B. Schwergewicht JPM.
Und nur so ist zu erklären, dass die NYSE-advance-decine-Linie ihr ATH vor 25 Jahren (!!!) hatte, alsa der Dow bei ca. 1.000 stand. Ich suche Mal den Chart dazu, wenn's interessiert.

Habe momentan nur die Zahlen, Quelle kann ich, falls gewünscht nachliefern. Mit der Tabelle hat es leider nicht richtig hingehauen.
