Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC):
An agency created by the U.S. Congress in 1974 to regulate exchange trading in futures.
Real Estate Investment Trust - Is a special structure which holds real properties.These properties can be apartments, shopping malls, office buildings or other acceptable real assets. The trust must distribute 95 percent of its income to the shareholders in order to qualify for special tax treatment.
COMEX
A division of the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX). Formerly known as the Commodity Exchange, COMEX is the leading U.S. market for metals futures and options trading.
S&P 500 Composite Index
A capitalisation weighted index of 500 stocks. Standard and Poor's 500 index represents the price trend movements of the major common shares of US public companies. It is used to measure the performance of the entire US domestic stock market. The index covers the shares of industrial, transport, utilities and financial corporations.
