Bill Gates buys more shares of Pan American Silver
WASHINGTON, June 11 (Reuters) - Cascade Investment LLC, the investment arm of Microsoft Corp. (NasdaqNM:MSFT - news) co-founder Bill Gates, increased its stake in Pan American Silver Corp. (Toronto:PAA.TO - news) to 13.66 percent from 9.05 percent, according to a filing on Monday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Cascade bought 2 million common shares of Vancouver-based Pan American on June 5 for $6 million, boosting its position to 5.105 million shares, which it holds for investment purposes only, the filing said.

Shares rose 4 cents to $5.04 on the Toronto Stock Exchange on Monday.
